Top 3 things to do instead of going out

We all enjoy going out with our friends and have fun, usually accompanied by alcohol.

Unfortunately however, our bodies and minds need to take a break from these lucrative activities time to time.

Thus I am providing you, my precious readers, with a list of top 3 things to do instead of going out.

  1. A Venture To Nature

Our minds need a break from our daily lives, the best way to do it is to disconnect from all electrical devices and simply enjoy a long walk to a nice nature rich place.

It will allow you to release your mind from the shackles of technology and release your imagination and allow you to think deeply about anything you like, there will be no constraints on you.

  1. Indoor Rock Climbing

We all have always wanted to do this. We have seen it movies, where someone climbs and is afraid to jump down.

‘Rock Up’, located in St Stephan’s shopping centre, allows us to actually see and have a feel for it, alone or with friends.

It is great fun and decent exercise!

  1. Escape Rooms

Fight your way through riddles and puzzles in order to free yourselves within a time limit at ‘Escape Hull’.

This activity is basically trying to solve riddles in order to find clues which will eventually allow you to open the doors, behind which freedom awaits.

‘Escape Hull’ offers a wide range of types of room you can escape from.

Tell me how you spend your free time below 🙂

The ultimate guide to planning a trip to NYC

I have recently been planning my up coming trip to the Big Apple at the end of March and it has inspired me to write about the tips and tricks I’ve learnt that can help when planning a trip.

1. Write down a list of everywhere that you want to visit. We all know the iconic New York landmarks that you just can’t miss out on when visiting the city, so make a list of all the ones your interested in as well as any other places you’ve heard of and prioritise them.

Exploring Brooklyn is high on my list

2. Research, research, and research some more. New York is a huge place with so much more to offer than just the typical tourist attractions. Research all the best places to eat, the must-see museums, and quirky hidden gems. When you’ve trawled the internet, add any extra must-see places to your list.

3. Make an itinerary. My advice is to sit down with your laptop and a cup of coffee and plan out each day of your trip from start to finish. Remember to work out how you’ll travel to and from attractions.

Exploring central park is also on my list!

4. Don’t leave it until the last minute. Going to NYC is a trip of a lifetime so to get the most out of it make sure you’ve organised everything well in advance so when the trip rolls around you can enjoy every minute of it!

Despite the negative news that stops people to travel to Egypt. There is a bright side you should see.

Egypt has not one but TWO of the 7 wonders of the world, the Great Pyramid and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

The great pyramid is quite possibly the most well-known landmarks in the world. It has been a defining symbol of Egypt since it was constructed as a tomb for the king, two more were later constructed along with the Sphinx.

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was the first lighthouse in the world constructed back in 290 BC it was built on the island of Pharos, to help guide trade ships into its busy harbour at Alexandria.

The weather

This might be an obvious one, what with Egypt being in North Africa, but it has to be said. Egypt has year-round sunshine both in the North and the South reaching highs of 48 degrees. What a better way to spend your trip than basking in the sunshine, just remember to drink plenty and pack your sun cream!

Finally, the coastline

The beaches and red sea along the Sinai desert are some of the most beautiful in the world. Whether you want to drag your feet in the sand, go sailing the shores or dive among the coral and fish, Egypt has it all.

Egypt is also considered as great value for money. The country has cheap prices for some luxurious services, you will have a balance between the morning life and the nightlife.
