Hello ūüôā

My name is Kan, and I was originally born and raised in in the northern part of Thailand. Every time that I ask my foreigner friends that have you ever been to Thailand. The answer that I always get is “yes I have been to Phuket”, which is the main destination that located in southern part of Thailand.

“As a northern, it is my duty to tell you why my hometown is worth to visit by showing you 3 ¬†awesome places “

1. Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai is the most northern province in Thailand. There is a one famous landmark call “Golden triangle” which is the place that three countries including Thai, Myanmar and Laos sharing the borders. As a northern and traveller, I would¬†suggest that Chiang Rai is one of the best place to set as a base to explore around the region.

2. Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is very trendy province for Thai tourists because it has a very beautiful landscape and the hill tribe. Moreover, there is the most famous landmark in the heart of the city, called Pra-Tu-Tar-Pare or the ancient wall. And it is surrounded by many historically rich Buddhist temples. I would recommend you to visit this province, since it is not only culturally rich city, but also full of facilities as same as Bangkok the capital city.

3. Mae Hong son

Mae Hong Sorn is one of very trendy province right now. It is the small province located in the middle of the mountain. It is where you can find the fresh air, peaceful, and nice local people. Moreover, some people claim that this place is the Switzerland in Thailand.

An American in Amsterdam

The Dam Square

This very scenic spot is only a 5 minute walk from the Central Station. The square is packed with tourists and locals relaxing or traveling to their next destination.  From the Dam Square almost all the tourist attractions are within walking distance including the Red Light District, various shopping/restaurant and entertainment, and multiple museums.

 The Ice Bar

One attraction we were interested in experiencing is the Ice Bar of Amsterdam. For only 25 Euros, 3 drinks and 40 minutes in the bar are included. Trust me… 20 minutes is plenty of time to chug your drinks and head out into the ‘warmth’. Drinking from ice cups, sitting on ice, and in -10 degrees was ¬†definitely worth the temporary frost bite.

De 9 Straatjes

The nine streets of Amsterdam are the small allies and walkways created by the water that runs through the city. These streets contain several museums, clothing stores, coffee shops and most importantly…the famous Red Light District. Below¬†is a photo of an authentic Dutch beer with a sneak of the district in the background. The culture and different lifestyles in the city is outstanding and very eye opening to the tourists. Overall it was an incredible day trip!

5 reasons why it pays off to go with a camper van on tour

Do you feel like you just need holidays and just want to travel? Me too. If I was not studying and had enough money available, I would only travel. There are many ways to travel. My dream since my childhood is to own an old VW Bus and travel the whole world with it. For me this is a very special way to get to know new people and cultures and a real adventure.

I’ll tell you 5 reasons why you should travel with a camper van this year.

  1. You start the day with your feet in the sand or in the meadow. If you do it right, you can live in the most fabulous places in the world. There are countless cool hotspots to stay with a mobile home. In some countries it is even possible to camp everywhere.

  1. You can choose your own speed during your holiday and do not spend your time at airports in transfer busses and hotel lobbies.
  1. You like to surf and you want to stay at the best surfing spots. Spend your days and nights on the beach. As soon as the perfect wave arrives you are already there and you can surf it.

  1. You can travel extensively and stay as long as you like in your favourite place.
  1. You are independent and free, do not have to reserve anything and when the weather is lousy you simply continue to travel to another place.

If the reasons convinced you, then give me feedback and start your camper van journey!

Spain in One Day!

Between a hectic¬†schedule, assignment due dates, and being on a students’ budget…traveling¬†is nearly impossible. Luckily I have put my time studying in England to good use and have managed to visit many countries without breaking the bank. One of the most memorable places I have been to was Barcelona, Spain.

Cathedral of Barcelona

We woke up in the morning and walked out to this beautiful church. This is in the middle of the city across from the Gothic Quarter and markets filled with the Spanish culture surround the area of the church. Everything from this church was accessible via foot or metro. We had the perfect Airbnb location!

Sagrada Familia Basilica

One site that was considered a ‘must see’ was the Sagrada Familia. I have never been a fan of museums or tours, but prefer to see as many places as possible while experiencing the culture of the destination. However, this is a place I would love to go on a tour of in the near future. I¬†couldn’t capture how large this church was in a photo, but simply seeing the size was breathtaking.

Santa Maria de Montserrat

Santa Maria de Montserrat was almost an entire day worth of beautiful views. A cable car was taken to the top of the mountain where a variety of hikes were taken, a informative museum was found, and several monuments were on display. The photo above was the main reason for visiting the Montserrat and upon arrival the monument had a 7 foot tall fence surrounding it with a police officer keeping watch. With a lot of dedication, a little creativity and a ton of speed the photo was able to happen behind the officers back. Below are a few pictures taken at the Montserrat as well.

Iceland -The Land of Fire and Ice

‚ÄúWe travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” – Eat Pray Love

I am a travel addict and a lover of adventure. I yearn to see the world and experience different cultures. During my last Christmas holiday, I travelled to Iceland ‚Äď the land of fire and ice ‚Äď so called because of its glaciers, volcanoes, and hot springs.

First time to see the snow.

During the winter, the entire country is blanketed with snow, creating a beautiful, serene vista like something out of a film.

J√∂kuls√°rl√≥n Glacier Lagoon¬†in Iceland is a must-visit destination. It is one of Iceland’s natural crown jewels, and the local people have taken to calling the black beach nearby “Diamond Beach”,since the ice crystals strewn across it glisten like diamonds in the sunlight.

Gullfoss waterfall

Gullfoss waterfall
¬†literally means ‚ÄėGolden waterfall‚Äô and, most agree that it‚Äôs the most breath-taking in the country.

Geysir is also a popular destination for tourists, who often visit on their way to Gullfoss. The geyser launches a staggering volume of hot water up to 20 meters skyward every ten minutes, making it a sight to behold.

Icelandic horses.

The Icelandic horse is a unique breed of smallish horses which love interacting with people, and are extremely popular with tourists who see them as cute. Why not enjoy a different riding experience with Icelandic horses?

City view of Reykjavik.

Even though Iceland is covered in white snow for much of the year, its cities are very colorful ‚Äď looking like paintings.¬†Most Icelanders are very respectful of nature and protect their natural resources; preserving Iceland‚Äôs beauty
